TOURISM & HOSPITALITY
Over the past 40 years under the leadership of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, tourism (regionally, nationally and internationally) has become an ever-growing major component of the economic engine that drives the growth of businesses, cultural jobs, and community development in the Upper Manhattan region. Harlem has firmly taken its rightful place as one of the top five New York City destinations for tourists and visitors. The Chamber and its member partners have creatively focused on the history, culture, music and entertainment of Harlem. In partnership with its key cultural members, the chamber has developed a powerful number of year-round events and activities in collaboration with local, regional, national and international entities. Harlem has truly reclaimed its global reputation as a unique destination that offers diverse, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for visitors.
