GHCC EDUCATION FOCUS
· Over the decades, The Chamber, in concert with its supporting members, has awarded over nine million dollars in scholarships, and internships to numerous students attending trade schools, continuing education programs, colleges, and universities, locally, nationally, and internationally – with a specific focus on historically black colleges and Universities.
· The Chamber annually honor outstanding teachers and educators at various events and activities and partners with educational institutions in developing programming focused on technology, reading, mathematics, creative writing, arts & culture.
· Events & Activities: Annually during HARLEMWEEK The Chamber produces the Alex Trebek spelling Bee, a Youth Hackathon, a themed youth conference, and its 2-Day NY City Children’s Festival that provides a wealth of family and educational resources, children performances, and its popular back to school fashion showcase.
