STEM BECOMES S.T.E.A.M
SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING ARTS & MATH

Technology has completely changed practically every aspect of our lives. For the foreseeable future, this digital age will be a catalyst to bring our society together or keep it separated.

The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Congressman Charles Rangel, Silicon Harlem and other supportive institutions and individuals, have created a series of events to help young and old close the “digital divide” and successfully negotiate the digital age. Along with artists and educators, the Chamber has given serious consideration to the role the arts will play in these technological times. It has been stated that “the arts build the 21st century workforce” in this digital world.

With that in mind, the expanding on STEM, the Chamber, in partnership with Silicon Harlem kicked off its year round S.T.E.A.M INITIATIVE to help young and old close the “digital divide”.  The initiative included a series of events and activities designed to demystify technology and encourage all to take part in the learning experience.
